With us, you do more than observe: You work as part of the team right from the start and learn how an initial idea becomes a professional business event, from the concept, venue, budget, technology and guest management to evaluation after the event. You do not need prior work experience. That is exactly what our apprenticeship is for.
Who we are
mysecurityevent GmbH organizes B2B business summits around the future topic of cyber security. Our events take place throughout the DACH area – among others in Signal Iduna Park in Dortmund or in the VIP area of the Allianz Arena in Munich.
We are based in the historic Lokfabrik in the heart of Berlin. Our mission: We improve the digital world by creating communities at our events.
What you learn with us
- Design and plan events: You contribute to event concepts and create schedules, task plans and running orders.
- Coordinate people and partners: You work with speakers, sponsors, photographers, the host team and technical, catering and logistics partners.
- Select venues and services: You obtain quotes, compare services and help place orders and oversee external service providers.
- Keep an eye on budgets: You learn to calculate costs, check bills and monitor budgets.
- Contribute to marketing: You work with target audiences, advertising, sponsorship, sales promotion and the marketing of our events.
- Get to know sales processes: You are actively involved and can supplement your apprenticeship pay with agreed bonuses.
- Support events: You help with setup, rehearsals, registration, admission, guest support, programme delivery and teardown.
- Find solutions quickly: If something changes in the short term, you learn to stay calm, set priorities and initiate suitable measures together.
- Evaluate results: You collect feedback, analyze key figures and document opportunities for improvement.
- Understand commercial contexts: You get insights into purchasing, accounting, controlling, quality management, sustainability and personnel planning.
What you bring to the role
You don’t have to be an event professional yet. Much more important is that you feel like learning new things and getting something done together with us.
- You have already completed your Mittlere Reife or Abitur, or will complete your qualification soon.
- You are interested in events, business and digital future topics.
- You like to organize and keep track of several tasks.
- You approach people openly and communicate clearly.
- You are reliable and take responsibility seriously.
- You are not afraid of numbers, tables and digital tools.
- You enjoy working in a team and see feedback as an opportunity.
- You speak very good German and have good knowledge of English.
- You are ready to support our events in the DACH region.
This is what we offer you
- Real events instead of pure theory: You work on real events and see directly what is created by your work.
- A structured apprenticeship and personal development with a training plan, regular feedback, online courses, internal workshops, seminars and unlimited access to specialist books.
- Personal onboarding with the CEO and the responsible manager for events.
- Flexible working hours coordinated with vocational school, apprenticeship content and event periods. After your induction, you can work from home on Fridays when your current tasks allow it.
- Modern technical equipment that you can also use for the home office.
- Direct communication, flat hierarchies and an open feedback culture.
Pay and benefits
- 1st year of the apprenticeship: €1,150
- 2nd year of the apprenticeship: €1,250
- 3rd year of the apprenticeship: €1,350
- Additional bonus arrangements will be agreed during the apprenticeship.
- 28 days of vacation per year.
- 40 hours per week; time at vocational school is counted.
- Financial support for your Urban Sports membership.
- A Deutschlandticket paid for by us.
- A career plan developed together, with prospects after your apprenticeship.
How the application process works
- Send us a short cover letter and your CV via the application path on this page.
- In a short video call we get to know each other.
- Then we invite you to a taster day in our office. You get to know the team, get a realistic insight into our everyday work and work on a small practical task.
- If it is a good fit for both sides, you will receive your apprenticeship contract and your onboarding can begin.
You don’t have to meet every requirement perfectly. We are interested in your motivation, your personality and your willingness to learn.
